Orion Securities Launches Cooperation with Enlight Research: Providing Clients Access to Independent Equity Research
Investment banking firm Orion Securities has enabled its clients to access bank/broker independent issuer equity research produced by the Estonian company Enlight Research. Clients will gain access to reports on a range of Baltic companies, along with in-depth analytics. According to experts, opening access to independent, non-bank research represents an important step toward the maturity of the capital market.

Access to Comprehensive Research on a Broad Range of Companies
Starting from October 6th, clients logged into the Orion investor self-service portal will be able to use Enlight Research’s quarterly company equity research updates free of charge. They will also gain access to the premium content that includes market valuation summaries, top picks, and other valuable information.
Traditionally in the Baltics, equity research has been closely tied to banks and other intermediaries, with analysts’ attention largely focused on the largest and most liquid issuers. As a result, mid-sized companies have often lacked sufficient coverage. Enlight Research seeks to close this gap by providing bank/broker independent research, forecasts, and valuations for a broader set of companies.

Enlight Research covers companies such as Tallink Grupp, Ekspress Grupp, Tallinna Kaubamaja Grupp, INVL Technology, EfTEN Real Estate Fund, Artea Bank, Tallinna Sadam, Ignitis group, Akola Group, Grigeo, Eleving Group, DelfinGroup, and others. Until now, these reports were available only on the company’s own platform or on the websites of the covered companies.
Moving Toward Western Markets Practices
The integration of bank/broker independent research brings the Baltic markets closer to practices in Western Europe and the United States. Following the implementation of the MiFID II Directive in 2018, issuers and investors began paying separately for research. This opened the way for independent research firms to grow, competing on transparency and broader coverage. This improves the overall quality of equity research in the market.
