Linas Šlepikas appointed Chief Technology Officer at Orion Securities

Linas Šlepikas, who brings more than two decades of digital transformation experience gained in banks, strategic organisations and international companies, has been appointed Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at the investment services firm Orion Securities. The company continues to pursue its strategic direction of developing a digital investment services ecosystem and increasing its accessibility for investors.

“Technology and its purposeful application today form one of the most important parts of the infrastructure behind investment services. We have assembled an experienced team of experts to ensure that our clients have convenient and reliable access to a broad range of investment instruments. Linas’s experience in managing complex IT systems and delivering digital transformation projects will help us strengthen our technological capabilities even faster,” says Paulius Žurauskas, CEO of Orion Securities.

The company, which provides a full range of investment services, plans to further expand the functionality of its investor portal and introduce additional digital solutions that will allow clients to access different investment instruments on a single platform – from bonds and funds to equities and other alternative investment products. This enables investors to independently build portfolios according to their individual goals, investment horizon and risk tolerance. The company also plans to launch a mobile application designed for retail investors.

Šlepikas has more than 20 years of leadership experience in information technology across the banking, financial technology and energy sectors. Before joining Orion Securities, he served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at ESO, part of Ignitis Group, and led IT architecture and strategy at Luminor Group. He has also worked as Head of Technology and Engineering at Nord Security and held various IT roles at international banks, including Barclays, Danske Bank and DNB. In these organisations, he contributed to the development and modernisation of cloud infrastructure, digital banking channels and complex IT architectures.

“Investing is becoming increasingly digital, making the reliability and resilience of technology critically important. My goal is to ensure that Orion Securities’ technological infrastructure enables the company to effectively develop digital services and respond even better to clients’ needs.

The development of digital channels covers all platforms – both web solutions and modern mobile applications. Today, mobile channels are the primary touchpoint with clients, which makes their reliability, speed and functionality strategically important,” says Mr Šlepikas.

Orion Securities says it has now assembled a full IT and digital channels development team. Recently, digital product development and management expert Vilma Kaikarienė joined the team, bringing extensive experience gained at the car-sharing company CityBee and Modus Group.
