Orion role in this project
We started working with the company Leafood back in 2021 when one of the founders presented to the Orion Securities team a unique idea of vertical farming. Since then, we have been actively engaged with Leafood and structured a transaction so that to be able to make an investment in the early stage of the company’s development in the autumn of 2022.
In 2022 October Orion Securities made 1.6 m EUR investment to the private limited-liability company Leafood making it possible for other smaller investors to join this innovative investment as well.

Further cooperation
Lukas Žilinskas became a board member at Leafood after the investment was made by KŪB Orion Growth. L. Žilinskas actively participates in the board meetings and together with Leafood founders makes strategic plans for the company’s growth.
KŪB Orion Growth is a fund set up by Orion Securities, to which 1.6 m EUR investment was raised. This fund made an investment in Leafood. KŪB Orion Growth is responsible for the investors’ relationship management and successful exit in the timeframe of 2-3 years with a minimal 15% average rate of return.
