AB Akola Group Acquires 500 000 of Its Own Shares

One of the largest agricultural and food business groups in the Baltic States, AB Akola Group, has acquired 500 000 of its own shares. The share buyback process was administered by the investment services firm Orion Securities.

In accordance with the resolution of the general meeting of shareholders, the company was authorized to acquire up to 500,000 shares for a total amount of up to EUR 905,000. During the buyback, 9 076 879 shares were offered. The final share buyback price, determined based on the reverse Dutch auction principle, is EUR 1.75 per share.

The share buyback started on March 16, 2026, and was completed on March 20, 2026. Settlement for the acquired shares will take place on March 24, 2026.

The share buyback provides shareholders with an opportunity to sell part or all of their holdings, while those who remain invested benefit from an increased proportional interest in the company’s assets and future earnings without additional investment. This is part of the Company’s capital allocation approach and reflects our continued focus on creating long-term value for shareholders,” says Mažvydas Šileika, Deputy CEO for Finance and Investments at AB Akola Group.

According to Saulius Žlabys, Head of Markets at Orion Securities, investors are taking a disciplined approach.

“Investors are actively managing their positions: some are taking partial profits, while others are maintaining or even increasing their holdings. Akola Group has a well-defined business model, diversified operations, and consistent performance, so investment decisions are more often driven by individual portfolio strategies rather than any reassessment of the company’s fundamentals,” Žlabys says.

AB Akola Group is one of the largest agricultural and food business groups in the Baltic States, operating across the entire value chain, from trading agricultural raw materials, grain procurement, and logistics to the supply of feed, food ingredients, and other agri-business-related products and services. The company operates in international markets, and its shares are listed on the Nasdaq Vilnius exchange.
