Orion Securities CEO Paulius Žurauskas becomes a shareholder in the company
The shareholder structure of investment services company Orion Securities has expanded to include its CEO, Paulius Žurauskas. Following approval from the market supervisory authorities, he acquired a 9.9% stake in the company. Orion Securities is now wholly owned by investor and philanthropist Marius Jakulis Jason together with partners Mindaugas Strėlis, Alius Jakubėlis, Lukas Žilinskas and P. Žurauskas.
M. Jakulis Jason holds a 43.6% stake in the company. A. Jakubėlis and M. Strėlis each own 20.9%, P. Žurauskas holds 9.9%, and L. Žilinskas owns 4.7% of the shares.
According to A. Jakubėlis, Chairman of the Board, the CEO becoming a shareholder marks the next stage in the development of Orion Securities and further aligns the long-term interests of the company’s shareholders and management.
“Paulius leads the company while also taking direct, long-term responsibility for the value it creates for both clients and partners. This reflects an important principle for us: the people making key business decisions should have a direct interest in the company’s sustainable long-term growth, client trust and the development of a stronger Baltic capital market. Paulius joining the shareholder base demonstrates our shared commitment to the direction we have chosen,” says A. Jakubėlis.
Sees opportunities for both organic growth and acquisitions
According to Orion Securities CEO P. Žurauskas, his decision to invest in the company is based both on the prospects of the financial intermediation market and on the company’s own position within it.
“Capital is growing in Lithuania and other markets across the region, investors’ needs are becoming more complex, and demand for professional financial intermediation services is increasing. The companies that succeed in this market will be those that can select investments carefully, manage risk effectively and take responsibility for the entire client experience. Orion Securities has a strong starting position, a broad range of services and opportunities to grow both organically and through strategically justified acquisitions,” says P. Žurauskas.
According to him, becoming a shareholder represents a personal commitment to the company’s long-term direction.
“We are building one of the strongest investment services teams in the market, and we can already see that we have the potential to raise the standard of service across the sector. Our goal is not simply to increase the scale of our operations. We want our clients to invest successfully and thoughtfully, clearly understand the decisions they make and be satisfied with the entire experience of working with us. As a shareholder, I am investing in this ambition as well,” says P. Žurauskas.
The change in the shareholder structure is part of a broader integration of financial services companies. Orion Securities operates within AAA Enterprises, an international group of licensed financial companies bringing together banking, asset management, investment banking, financial intermediation, family office and venture capital services under one brand. The group’s companies collectively manage and administer approximately EUR 3 billion in assets and serve more than 6,000 active investors. The integration of these activities is intended to provide clients with a broader range of coordinated financial services.
The Board of Orion Securities was also recently renewed. A. Jakubėlis serves as Chairman, while Justinas Jarusevičius, M. Strėlis and P. Žurauskas are Board members. The company continues to expand its investment and private banking, family wealth management, capital markets transactions, fund services and digital investment solutions.
