Marius Dubnikovas joins Orion Securities as Head of Investment
Economist, seasoned investment professional, and Vice President of the Lithuanian Business Confederation, Marius Dubnikovas, has joined the management team of the investment firm Orion Securities. As of 2 February, he has assumed the role of Head of Investment at the company. Orion Securities is consistently strengthening its family wealth management and private banking services.
“As the market matures, investors are becoming more demanding. They care not only about returns, but also about the entire portfolio management process and trust in financial market professionals: how investments are selected, how risk is managed, and how long-term strategy is formed.
I am confident that Marius’ accumulated experience in investment and business development will make a significant contribution to the further development of our full range of services, particularly in the areas of family wealth and private banking. Together, we aim to continue enhancing the quality of our investment instrument selection,” says Paulius Žurauskas, Head of Orion Securities.
According to Dubnikovas, his decision to join Orion Securities was primarily driven by the company’s approach to investing as a consistent, structured process, at a time when the Lithuanian investment services market is growing not only in size but also in sophistication.
“Lithuanian investors are increasingly talking not about individual decisions, but about the portfolio as a whole: its structure, risk allocation, and various long-term scenarios. The management of family wealth and personal investment portfolios is gradually becoming one of the core components of investment services for clients managing both larger and medium-sized capital. This requires a broad selection of instruments, as well as a very clear selection logic and discipline. I strongly relate to Orion Securities’ ambition to operate in this space professionally and systematically, as well as its commitment to promoting financial literacy,” the economist says.
Dubnikovas’ professional experience spans the entire investment cycle, from capital markets infrastructure and investment product analysis to strategic management and business development. Over the past eight years, he was responsible for business development at the Lithuanian branch of Compensa Life Vienna Insurance Group. He has also worked within the Finasta group, in investment management at Mandatum Life, and served as head of the UK-based fintech company PayAlly.
In the market, the Head of Investment at Orion Securities is also well known as a financial sector expert. He serves as Vice President of the Lithuanian Business Confederation and has been lecturing at the Vilnius University Business School for more than a decade, contributing to the development of investment and financial culture.
